Essential Oils in to aid learning

The following is a awesome post about how to boost your brain power through essential oils.  I promise, they are not oily!

Back-to-School with dōTERRA Essential Oils

Having essential oils as a regular part of your child’s daily routine can not only help their health, but can also help boost their cognitive performance.

Here are some tips on how to get your kids to use essential oils throughout the day:

Morning:

Help the kids wake up with either peppermint, wild orange, Citrus Bliss, or On Guard.

Afternoon:

For a homework helper, diffuse peppermint, wild orange, or rosemary (read past post on rosemary here) to help boost mental focus and concentration.

Bedtime:

For a good night’s sleep use Serenity or lavender by either diffusing in air, rubbing on bottom of feet, or by placing a couple drops on their pillowcase.

EDIBLE FRUIT LIP GLOSS
Materials:
Flavored drink mix
1 cup vegetable shortening or coconut oil
Food coloring
Small container such as a film container
1. Mix one packet of drink mix with shortening.
2. Add in a few drops of food coloring that matches the flavor. ie: yellow for lemon.
3. Pack in small container, such as a film container, and you have wonderful tasting and smelling lip gloss. Of course the lip gloss is edible should some accidentally be licked off.

SILLY PUTTY
Materials:
Glue (wood glue works well but white glue will also work)
Epsom salts
Water
Measuring spoons
Plastic spoon
2 small cups
Waxed paper
Plastic bag (optional)
Directions:
1. In one cup, put 1/2 tsp Epsom salt and 1/2 tsp water, stir to dissolve salt. (NOTE: It may not all dissolve.)
2. In the other cup, put 1 tablespoon glue. Add the Epsom salt water to the glue and stir.
3. Watch as your new material starts to form. Pull out the putty and put it on the waxed paper. You can experiment with it to find out more about its properties.
4. You can store the new putty in a plastic bag.

Frodo has 5 cookies .
Pippen has 4 cookies.
Sam has 0 cookies.
If they share their
Cookies each hobbit
Has the same amount.
How many would Frodo have to share?
How many would Pippen have to share?
